BUSINESS STUDIES SCHOOL TRIPS TO SINGAPORE

Singapore is a modern metropolis and business gateway offering global organisations access to the fast-evolving Asian region and beyond. Singapore Business Studies Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival Singapore
Upon arrival in Singapore, our English speaking guide will be there to welcome and assist the group with coach transfer and check-in at the hotel.

Day 2 One-North, the Silicon Valley of Singapore / MAS Gallery / Singapore Maritime Gallery / Gardens by the Bay
This morning will be visiting One-North, the Silicon Valley of Singapore . From a backwater in the past, to a bustling metropolis today, Singapore has indeed transformed. Despite the success we enjoy now, we continue to strive for the next bound of what is to come, and becoming a SMART Nation is the next phase of transformation for Singapore. One-North was designed with this in mind. Having a precinct that is dedicated to innovation is important for local start-ups to experiment, research and grow. Learn more about this “Silicon Valley of Singapore” and explore this innovative district as we discover a new ecosystem, introduce various local start-ups, and tell the stories of how they brought their ideas to life.

We then proceed to the MAS Gallery. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator. Discover Singapore’s currency journey and learn how MAS fosters a sound and robust financial sector for sustained economic growth, setting the stage for Singapore to become a leading international financial hub.

Following this is a visit to the Singapore Maritime Gallery. Here you will journey through the experiential zones and learn how Singapore transformed into one of the world’s leading international maritime centres with one of the world’s busiest ports.

On our final visit, we proceed to the Gardens by the Bay, which provides students with an opportunity to experience the development of modern Singapore. Housing more than 250,000 Rare Plants and 18 Supertrees, the park is built to raise the quality of life of Singaporeans by enhancing greenery and flora in the city. Set on 54 hectares the complex consists of two climate conservatories. Appreciate the unique technologies for long-term conservation and sustainability. Students will enjoy the Supertree Grove, and two Conservatories along with witnessing the evening Garden Rhapsody light and sound show. We then proceed back to the hotel.

Day 3 Full Day Business Program / Bumboat Rivercruise
Today will enjoy our 2nd full day Business Program.
Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a Bumboat River Cruise along the Singapore River. The Singapore River is like a witness to its history. On both sides of the river, you will see the colonial buildings, traditional Chinese shops, modern skyscrapers, each of them telling you a story. We then proceed back to the hotel.

Day 4 Full Day Business Program / Singapore Flyer
Today will enjoy a full day Business Program. Meet the people behind Singapore’s businesses and Be Inspired by their passion & innovative spirit. Delve beneath the surface of the Singapore transformation journey with in-depth visits to the city’s most innovative businesses. From startups to small-to-medium sized enterprises (“SMEs”), you can discover and learn about their contribution towards a research-intensive, innovative and entrepreneurial economy in a fun, engaging and informal way. Select from the following programs Fintech, Foodtech, Gaming, Retail, Media & Digital content, Traditional Business and Tourism & Hospitality.

We then proceed to the Singapore Flyer. Asia’s largest observation wheelThe Singapore Flyer is the brainchild of world renowned architect Dr Kisho Kurokawa (Japan). The Flyer has an overall height of 165 metres (541 ft) it has 28 air conditioned capsules, each able to accommodate 28 passengers, and incorporates a three-story terminal building. Before boarding, they’ll journey through the Time Capsule experience – an immersive, multimedia exhibition that traces Singapore’s transformation from fishing village to global metropolis. Through interactive storytelling and futuristic installations, students will gain a deeper appreciation of the nation’s history, innovation, and vision for the future. We then enjoy a farewell dinner before returning back to the hotel.

Day 5: Jewel Changi Airport  / Changi Experience Centre (Managing the world’s best airport) / Departure
We check-out of the hotel and transfer to Changi International Airport. We then proceed to the Changi Experience Centre. Changi International Airport, consistently awarded as one of the world’s best airports, strives continually to deliver world-class services like no other airport in the world.
Hear about what constitutes Changi’s airport management philosophy, covering safety, efficiency, service and experience and learn about what each pillar entails. Hear about how the key principles of always planning ahead, putting our customers, at the core of what we do, continually rethinking travel and reinventing what an airport should be – has underpinned Changi’s development and growth over the past 40 years.
